Effective November 2, 2026
This policy explains what information the Food Recall Monitor API (“Service”), operated by Leland Wright, collects and how it is used.
We do not collect payment card details directly, and the landing page uses no tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
To operate, secure and improve the Service, enforce quotas and Terms, respond to you, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Only with service providers that host or deliver the Service (e.g. our cloud hosting provider and marketplaces you choose), when required by law, or to protect the Service and its users.
Monthly usage counters are kept for up to 24 months for billing and abuse prevention; web server logs are kept for a short period; email correspondence as long as needed to support you.
You may request access to or deletion of personal information we hold about you by emailing us. Deleting a key's data may end access to the Service.
Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS; API keys are stored server-side with restricted access and usage is tracked by key hash. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure.
Recall records come from public FDA and USDA sources and may contain business names and addresses published by those agencies; they do not include consumer personal data.
The Service is intended for developers and businesses and is not directed to children under 13.
We may update this policy and will post the new effective date here.
